Emerald Academy offers structured learning pathways designed to support learners at different stages of their academic journey. Our main website is centred on our Full-time Professional Homeschool programme, which serves learners from Primary to Secondary in a structured, Christian, and personalised learning environment.

We also offer additional academic support services, including tutoring, supplementing, and exam rewrite support, with more detailed information available through our separate services platform.

Full-time Professional Homeschool

A full-time pathway from Primary to Secondary

The Full-time Professional Homeschool programme serves both Primary and Secondary learners through one clear academic pathway. In Primary, Emerald Academy follows the Botswana national curriculum. In Secondary, Emerald Academy follows the Cambridge IGCSE and O Level pathway. This gives families a defined route from early formal learning into internationally recognised secondary study, all within the same institution.

For Primary learners, the focus is on building strong foundational skills through the Botswana syllabus, including preparation toward PSLE. For Secondary learners, the focus shifts into Cambridge IGCSE and O Level study, giving students access to a curriculum aligned with recognised international academic standards. This allows Emerald to serve learners across important school stages while maintaining consistency in structure, values, and support.

Assessment within this pathway also reflects the learner’s programme and stage. Full-time learners are supported through continuous assessments, topic tests, and mock examinations aligned with PSLE and Cambridge IGCSE standards, with termly academic reports issued to communicate progress clearly to families.

Academic Support Services

Additional Academic Support Services

In addition to our full-time programme, Emerald Academy also provides academic support services for learners who need targeted help outside full-time enrolment. These services include Tutoring Services, Supplementing, and Exam Rewrite Support. While these services are part of the wider Emerald offering, they are not the main focus of this website. More detailed information about them is available through our separate services platform.

Our tutoring services support learners from both government and private school backgrounds and can be tailored to the curriculum the learner is registered under. Across these support services, Emerald works with a range of pathways including PSLE, Cambridge Primary, JCE, BGCSE, and Cambridge IGCSE & O Level. Supplementing and rewrite support are particularly relevant for learners preparing as private candidates or needing another chance to strengthen performance in key examinations.

This means that even where a family is not seeking full-time placement, Emerald may still have a support pathway that fits the learner’s academic needs. The difference is that these services should be understood as additional support options, while Full-time Professional Homeschool remains the flagship academic identity of the institution on this site.
