Who these services are for

Our academic support services are suitable for learners who need help strengthening performance in specific subjects, preparing for important examinations, or receiving more structured academic support outside their main school placement. These services are especially helpful for families looking for focused intervention, additional academic guidance, or support matched to the learner’s registered curriculum.

They are not the same as our full-time programme. Instead, they serve as support pathways for students who may be enrolled elsewhere, preparing as private candidates, or needing extra help in order to improve academic confidence and performance.

Our Academic Support Services

Tutoring Services

Subject-focused support for learners in government, private, and international pathways. Emerald supports a range of curricula including PSLE, Cambridge Primary, JCE, BGCSE, and Cambridge IGCSE & O Level.

Supplementing

Focused support for learners improving, repeating, or strengthening their preparation for examinations and key academic areas. Emerald’s supplementing support includes learners preparing for BGCSE, IGCSE, and JCE.

Guided preparation for eligible private candidates and learners seeking another opportunity to improve examination outcomes with structured support and academic mentorship.

Curricula we support

Depending on the programme, Emerald Academy supports learners across multiple academic pathways. These include Botswana Primary (PSLE), Cambridge Primary, JCE, BGCSE, Cambridge IGCSE & O Level, and in the FAQ material, IB support as well. This allows us to respond more flexibly to the real needs of learners coming from different school backgrounds.

How progress is monitored

For part-time and supplementing learners, progress is monitored through weekly practice, targeted testing, revision tracking, and monthly academic reports. This helps parents and learners understand how the student is progressing and where extra effort may still be needed.
